Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary is a sanctuary covered by Thick deodar foliage, a plethora of wildlife, snowcapped mountains, carpets of verdant grasslands, and light on the eye brooks of freshwater. This famous place is located in the scenic hilly Chambal district of Himachal Pradesh. The place-name also means 'black cap,' which probably belongs to the thick black woodland cover on the Highest Peak in the sanctuary. It is located a few kilometers away from the Chamba dam and Chamera lake on the river Ravi.
